Day 2
It’s time to explore Dresden. This tour introduces you to the new and the old part of Dresden - the splendid baroque capitol of Saxony. The historic city centre houses magnificent palatial buildings such as the Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera and the Residential Palace with the world famous New Green Vault, Europe's greatest jewellery treasure-house with a wealth of masterpieces from the Renaissance and the Baroque. One of the numerous highlights of this tour is the famous Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche), recently restored to its full beauty.
After a lunch break you will discover the medieval town of Meissen situated in the enchanting landscape of the Elbe Valley. After a walking tour through the historical city centre you visit the famous Porcelain Manufactory - the oldest in Europe - with the museum and the demonstration workshop. At the end the bus takes you back to Dresden.

Day 3
Discover the beautiful surroundings of Dresden! The Pillnitz palace complex was built in 1720 as the summer residence of the Saxon Royal Court and was inspired by Chinese architecture. It consists of several palaces – Bergpalais, Wasserpalais and New Palais – lying picturesquely on the banks of river Elbe in an extensive park and giving an extraordinary example of the combination of architecture and landscape gardening. One of the highlights of the park is without doubt an over 240 years old Japanese Camellia. Pillnitz Palace houses today the Museum of Decorative Arts, open from May to October.  A historical paddle-steamer takes you in about 2 hours from Dresden to Pillnitz. From the water side you are passing by picturesque buildings such as Albrechtsberg palace, Lingner palace and Eckberg palace as well as the famous bridge “Blaues Wunder”. During a guided tour you will discover the beautiful park of Pillnitz palace with the English and Chinese pavilion.
Your bus picks you up and after a lunch break you will visit Saxonian Switzerland. From “Bastei”, one of the oldest attractions of Saxony, a natural sandstone bridge formation you can enjoy a fantastic view of the impressive scenery of rocks, valleys and canyons. The tour ends in Dresden.
