From Hamburg, the route leads via Bremen and Lübeck to the Baltic coast, including Schwerin, Rostock and Stralsund. Maritime cities, historic old towns and impressive coastal scenery shape the program. An excursion to Rügen Island rounds off the journey before returning to Hamburg.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Hamburg
Welcome to Hamburg! Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, there may be some time for your first individual discoveries and a walk through this fascinating Hanseatic city.

Day 2 – Hamburg
Today, discover Hamburg during a guided city tour. Highlights include the historic Speicherstadt and modern HafenCity with the Elbphilharmonie, the Landungsbrücken, the harbour and Jungfernstieg. Hamburg City Hall, St. Michael’s Church and the famous Reeperbahn are also among the city’s best-known sights.
An optional harbour cruise offers another perspective on Hamburg and one of Europe’s most important ports.

Day 3 – Hamburg – Bremen
After breakfast, travel to Bremen. During a guided city tour, discover the historic market square with the UNESCO-listed Town Hall and Roland statue, the famous Bremen Town Musicians and the picturesque Schnoor quarter.
Afterwards, there is time for an individual walk through the historic old town and along the River Weser.

Day 4 – Bremen – Lübeck
Today, continue to Lübeck, traditionally known as the “Queen of the Hanseatic League”. During a guided city tour, discover the famous Holsten Gate, St. Mary’s Church, the historic Town Hall and the narrow lanes and courtyards of the old town.
Surrounded by water, Lübeck’s historic old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and provides a fascinating insight into the city’s important Hanseatic past.

Day 5 – Lübeck – Schwerin – Rostock
On the way to the Baltic coast, stop in Schwerin, the capital of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. One of the highlights is magnificent Schwerin Castle, beautifully situated on an island and surrounded by lakes and historic gardens.
Continue to Rostock, an old Hanseatic city combining impressive Brick Gothic architecture, centuries of university tradition and a distinctive maritime atmosphere.

Day 6 – Rostock – Warnemünde – Stralsund
In the morning, explore Rostock before continuing to the Baltic seaside resort of Warnemünde. Its wide sandy beach, the Alter Strom waterfront, fishing boats and lighthouse create a charming maritime atmosphere.
Later, travel to Stralsund. During a guided walk, discover the historic old town with its impressive Brick Gothic buildings and merchants’ houses. Together with Wismar, Stralsund’s old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 7 – Stralsund – Rügen Island – Hamburg
Today, enjoy an excursion to Rügen Island, Germany’s largest island. Depending on the program, visit some of its best-known highlights, such as the famous chalk cliffs, the elegant seaside resort of Binz with its traditional resort architecture or Cape Arkona.
Enjoy the impressive scenery of Germany’s Baltic coast before returning to Hamburg in the afternoon.

Day 8 – Departure
After breakfast, your journey through Northern Germany comes to an end. Transfer to the airport or railway station for your individual onward journey.
