Follow in Martin Luther’s footsteps and discover some of the most important places of German history and culture on this fascinating round trip. From Berlin, the journey takes you to Martin Luther’s historic sites in Wittenberg and at Wartburg Castle, on to the cultural city of Weimar and finally to Dresden. Historic old towns, renowned museums and cultural highlights accompany the journey before returning to Berlin via the traditional porcelain town of Meissen.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Berlin
Welcome to Berlin! Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, there may be some time for your first individual discoveries in the German capital.
Overnight in Berlin
Day 2 – Berlin
During a guided sightseeing tour, discover Berlin’s most important sights, including the Reichstag and government district, Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie and Alexanderplatz. At the same time, you will gain an insight into the eventful history of the German capital.
In the afternoon, experience Berlin from a different perspective during a boat cruise on the River Spree. Afterwards, there is time for your own activities.

Day 3 – Berlin – Lutherstadt Wittenberg – Weimar
After breakfast, travel to Lutherstadt Wittenberg, one of the most important places of the Reformation. During a guided tour, discover the historic old town and important sites connected with Martin Luther, including the Castle Church and Luther House.
Continue to Weimar, a city closely associated with Goethe, Schiller, German Classicism and the Bauhaus. During a first walk through the city, discover the historic centre and its unique cultural atmosphere.

Day 4 – Weimar – Eisenach & Wartburg Castle – Dresden
In the morning, there is time to explore Weimar in more detail. Depending on your group’s interests, the program may include a visit to the Goethe National Museum, the Bauhaus Museum or other important sites of Classical Weimar.
Afterwards, continue to Eisenach and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wartburg Castle. Martin Luther lived here under the name “Junker Jörg” and translated the New Testament into German. Continue to Dresden afterwards.

Day 5 – Dresden
Today, explore the Saxon capital in more detail. During a guided city tour, discover Dresden’s famous Baroque old town with highlights such as the Church of Our Lady, Semper Opera House, Zwinger Palace, Procession of Princes and Royal Palace.
Another highlight can be a visit to one of Dresden’s renowned museums, such as the Old Masters Picture Gallery, the Green Vault or the Albertinum. The afternoon is at leisure for your own discoveries or an optional boat cruise on the River Elbe.
Overnight in Dresden
Day 6 – Dresden – Meissen – Berlin
On the way back to Berlin, visit Meissen, known for its historic old town and world-famous porcelain tradition. During a visit to the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, gain an insight into the production of the famous porcelain. Afterwards, there is time for a walk through the historic centre.
Continue to Berlin in the afternoon.

Day 7 – Departure
After breakfast, your journey comes to an end. Transfer to the airport or railway station for your individual onward journey.
